Manchester City Extends Premier League Lead with Dramatic 3-2 Win Over Arsenal
Erling Haaland scored twice including a 90th-minute winner as City moved four points clear at the top of the table.

Manchester City strengthened their grip on the Premier League title race with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium, extending their lead at the summit to four points with this crucial three-point haul.

Erling Haaland proved to be the difference maker once again, netting a brace that included a dramatic 90th-minute winner that sent the home crowd into raptures. The Norwegian striker now has 31 goals in 28 league appearances this season, continuing his remarkable debut campaign in English football.

Arsenal had taken an early lead through Gabriel Jesus in the 12th minute, finishing brilliantly after a flowing move involving Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka. The Gunners looked confident and composed in the opening exchanges, pressing high and creating several dangerous opportunities against Pep Guardiolas side.

City responded with typical resilience, equalizing just before halftime when Kevin De Bruyne whipped in a perfect cross for Haaland to head home powerfully. The Belgian midfielder was instrumental throughout, dictating the tempo and creating chances with his exceptional passing range and vision.

The second half saw both teams trade blows in an end-to-end encounter that showcased the very best of Premier League football. Arsenal regained the lead in the 65th minute when Saka cut inside and curled a stunning effort into the top corner, leaving Ederson with no chance between the City posts.

Jack Grealish leveled the score with 15 minutes remaining, pouncing on a loose ball in the penalty area after Aaron Ramsdale had made a fine save to deny Haaland. The England winger celebrated passionately in front of the South Stand, knowing the importance of his contribution in this title-defining clash.

Just when it seemed both sides would settle for a point, Haaland struck again in the dying moments. Substitute Riyad Mahrez delivered a teasing cross from the right flank, and the 25-year-old striker rose highest to plant a header beyond Ramsdale and secure all three points for the hosts.

This victory puts City in a commanding position with just 12 matches remaining in the season, though Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta remained defiant in defeat, insisting his young squad would continue fighting until the mathematical end.
