Rangers Complete Stunning Comeback to Beat Bruins 4-3 in Shootout
New York erased a two-goal deficit in the final period before winning in a dramatic shootout at Madison Square Garden.

The New York Rangers delivered one of the most thrilling comebacks of the NHL season Sunday night, erasing a 3-1 third-period deficit to defeat the Boston Bruins 4-3 in a shootout at Madison Square Garden.

Trailing by two goals entering the final frame, the Rangers appeared destined for defeat against their longtime rivals. However, the home crowd witnessed a remarkable turnaround that showcased the team's resilience and never-quit attitude.

Chris Kreider sparked the comeback with a power-play goal at 7:42 of the third period, beating Boston goaltender Jeremy Swayman with a perfectly placed wrist shot from the left circle. The goal energized both the team and the sold-out crowd of 18,006 fans.

"That's what this building can do for you," Kreider said postgame. "When the fans get behind us like that, it gives us an extra gear. We felt the momentum shift completely after that goal."

Artemi Panarin tied the game with 2:47 remaining in regulation, capitalizing on a scramble in front of the net to send the game to overtime. The Russian superstar has been the Rangers' most consistent offensive threat this season, and his clutch goal proved why he's invaluable in pressure situations.

In the shootout, Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin made spectacular saves on David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand, while Mika Zibanejad scored the decisive goal with a deke that left Swayman sprawled on the ice. The victory moves New York to 32-18-6 on the season and keeps them in second place in the Metropolitan Division, just three points behind the Carolina Hurricanes.
