Organisers made the decision in response to weather forecasts predicting potentially dangerous conditions. Safety of drivers and spectators is the primary concern behind the schedule change.
The earlier start time aims to ensure the race can be completed before severe weather arrives in the area. Teams and drivers will need to adjust their preparations accordingly.
Miami marks the sixth round of the Formula 1 season. The race at the Hard Rock Stadium circuit continues to grow in popularity since its introduction to the calendar.
