Boston Bruins Defeat Rangers 4-2 in Physical Eastern Conference Battle
David Pastrnak leads Boston with two goals as the Bruins extend their home winning streak to seven games.

The Boston Bruins showcased their championship pedigree with a hard-fought 4-2 victory over the New York Rangers at TD Garden on Friday night. The win extends Boston's impressive home winning streak to seven games and strengthens their position atop the Eastern Conference standings.

David Pastrnak was the standout performer, netting two goals including the game-winner with 8:47 remaining in the third period. The Czech superstar's 31st and 32nd goals of the season came at crucial moments, demonstrating why he remains one of the NHL's elite scorers.

The physical nature of the contest was evident from the opening faceoff, with both teams combining for 47 penalty minutes. Boston's power play capitalized twice on five opportunities, while their penalty kill successfully neutralized all four Rangers advantages.

New York struck first through Artemi Panarin's power-play goal midway through the first period, but Boston responded with goals from Brad Marchand and Jake DeBrusk to take a 2-1 lead into the second intermission.

Rangers captain Jacob Trouba tied the game at 2-2 early in the final frame with a thunderous slap shot from the point. However, Pastrnak's heroics and an empty-net goal from Patrice Bergeron sealed the victory for the home side.

Goaltender Linus Ullmark made 28 saves for Boston, including several spectacular stops during New York's third-period push. The victory improves the Bruins' record to 35-12-7 and maintains their five-point lead over the second-place Rangers in the Atlantic Division.
