Lakers Rally Late to Defeat Celtics 118-114 in Classic Showdown
LeBron James scores 32 points as Lakers overcome 15-point deficit to beat Boston in thrilling finish.

The Los Angeles Lakers completed a stunning comeback victory over the Boston Celtics 118-114 at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night, with LeBron James leading the charge in what many are calling one of the games of the season.

Trailing by as many as 15 points in the third quarter, the Lakers looked dead in the water against a Celtics team that had been dominant on both ends of the floor. Boston shot 52% from three-point range in the first half and seemed to have an answer for every Lakers offensive possession.

However, the tide turned dramatically in the fourth quarter when James took over the game. The 41-year-old superstar scored 18 of his game-high 32 points in the final frame, including back-to-back three-pointers that gave Los Angeles their first lead since the opening minutes. "LeBron was absolutely incredible tonight," said Lakers coach JJ Redick. "When we needed him most, he delivered like only he can."

Anthony Davis provided crucial support with 28 points and 14 rebounds, dominating the paint in the second half after a slow start. The Lakers outscored Boston 35-22 in the fourth quarter, with their defense finally finding answers to the Celtics' ball movement and three-point shooting.

For Boston, Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 35 points, but managed just 6 points in the fourth quarter as the Lakers defense keyed in on him. Jaylen Brown added 24 points but struggled with turnovers down the stretch, committing 4 of his 6 turnovers in the final frame.

The victory moves the Lakers to 32-24 on the season, keeping them in the hunt for a top-six seed in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Celtics fall to 41-16 but remain comfortably atop the Eastern Conference standings. The two teams will meet again in Boston on March 15th in what promises to be another classic encounter between these storied franchises.
