Rice equaliser earns Arsenal a 2-2 draw at Bayern Munich
Declan Rice scored in the 82nd minute as Arsenal recovered to draw 2-2 with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday. Playmakerstats' match account records Viktor Gyökeres as the provider for the equaliser, which cancelled out Harry Kane's second-half penalty and ensured the visitors left Munich with a Champions League point.

Arsenal had been forced into an early change when Bukayo Saka went off after ten minutes. His replacement, Eberechi Eze, put them ahead in the 25th minute. AS reported that Eze met Martin Ødegaard's pass with a left-footed finish, with the goal standing after a video review overturned the initial offside decision.
Bayern's response came through Alphonso Davies in the 35th minute. According to Playmakerstats, Kane supplied the through ball and Davies finished with his right foot from inside the penalty area. That brought the hosts level before the interval, leaving both sides still searching for the goal that would put them back in front.
Kane then converted a penalty in the 61st minute to give Bayern a 2-1 advantage. The lead lasted until Rice's late intervention, with the Arsenal midfielder scoring from the right side of the area after Gyökeres supplied the pass. The sequence meant each team had led during the match, but neither could retain its advantage through to the final whistle.
The result leaves Arsenal unbeaten after three league-phase matches, with seven points from two wins and a draw. UEFA's results list shows that they opened with a 1-0 away victory over Napoli before beating Lille 3-0 at home. Bayern also remain unbeaten, on five points, having followed their opening 5-0 win against Bodø/Glimt with a 3-3 draw away to Viking.
Both clubs are scheduled to travel again in the next round. UEFA lists Bayern's visit to Atlético de Madrid for November 3 and Arsenal's trip to Slavia Praha for November 4. Arsenal then have home fixtures against Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid, while Bayern's following two league-phase opponents are Lille away and Slavia Praha at home.
