AC Milan sign Omari Hutchinson on loan from Nottingham Forest

AC Milan have completed the temporary signing of Omari Hutchinson from Nottingham Forest, adding the England youth international to their squad on a loan running until June 30, 2027. Milan announced the deal on Monday and confirmed that the agreement includes an option to make the transfer permanent. The club did not disclose any financial terms.

Hutchinson will wear the No. 20 shirt for the Rossoneri. BBC Sport also reported the completed move, while Milan's official statement described the 22-year-old as a left-footed attacking winger. The transfer gives Hutchinson a new stage in Serie A after one full season with Forest.

Milan said Hutchinson made 41 appearances and scored once for Nottingham Forest after joining the Premier League club permanently in the summer of 2025. His move to Italy is initially temporary, so his longer-term position will depend on whether Milan choose to exercise the purchase option included in the agreement. No conditions or valuation for that option were announced.

Born in Redhill, England, Hutchinson developed in the youth systems at Chelsea and Arsenal. He signed his first professional contract with Arsenal in November 2020, then returned to Chelsea in the summer of 2022. His senior Chelsea debut came in January 2023 in a Premier League match against Manchester City, according to Milan's account of his career.

Hutchinson later spent a season on loan at Ipswich Town and contributed 10 goals as the club secured promotion to the top flight after a 22-year absence. That spell preceded his permanent move to Forest. Milan's announcement did not specify when Hutchinson could make his debut, leaving his first appearance dependent on selection and registration.

At international level, Hutchinson has represented England in youth competition after previously being associated with Jamaica. He was part of the England Under-21 side that won the 2025 European Championship in Slovakia. Milan's confirmation brings an end to the immediate transfer question, with the winger now contracted to spend the 2026-27 campaign in Italy under the terms of the loan.
