Nico Paz double leads Como to 4-1 Champions League win over Manchester United
Nico Paz scored twice and supplied an assist as Como beat Manchester United 4-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday. The result at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia came in the third round of the league phase, with Tasos Douvikas and Jacobo Ramón also scoring for the Italian side, according to Zerozero's match coverage.

Paz put Como ahead early after receiving the ball from Lucas da Cunha, and the hosts took that one-goal advantage into half-time. Michael Carrick responded by introducing Carlos Baleba and Amad Diallo at the interval, but United conceded again within four minutes of the restart rather than finding an equaliser.
Douvikas made it 2-0 in the 49th minute from a Paz through ball. Paz then scored his second in the 57th minute, taking Como three goals clear before Ramón added a fourth in the 76th. Joshua Zirkzee's stoppage-time finish was United's only goal, leaving the visitors with a three-goal defeat despite their late breakthrough.
Football Italia reported that Como had already beaten RB Leipzig 4-1 at home and lost 3-2 away to Feyenoord in their first European campaign. This latest victory therefore gave them a second home win by the same scoreline. Douvikas also continued his scoring run, registering his third goal in as many Champions League appearances.
The home side created chances beyond their four goals. Football Italia described Lammens saving from Douvikas and later denying Paz as the Argentine pursued a hat-trick. At the other end, Butez tipped a Diallo effort over the crossbar. Ramón's goal followed a move down the left, with Kaiki providing the cross for the defender to head in from close range.
Both teams had players unavailable. Football Italia listed Trevoh Chalobah, Moise Kean, Jesus Rodriguez and Assane Diao among Como's absentees, while United were without the suspended Leny Yoro and several injured players. Matthijs de Ligt returned to the starting side for the first time since November 2025, but United's reshaped defence could not contain Como's attack.
