Fury and Joshua arrive in London as manager confirms Vada enrolment

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have arrived in London for Wednesday's launch news conference, BBC Sport reported on Tuesday. Their planned fight at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on 11 December appears to remain on after uncertainty over promotional arrangements and Fury's participation in drug testing.

Fury's manager, Spencer Brown, said the boxer is now enrolled in the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association programme, following questions about his enrolment late on Monday. Fury travelled from the United States, where he had been with his family, while Joshua arrived from a training camp in Dubai.

The promotional dispute involves UFC chief Dana White. Netflix had announced a collaboration between White and Turki Alalshikh's The Ring, but Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn said his fighter's contract barred White from a promotional role. White subsequently questioned whether the fight or launch would happen. BBC Sport now understands he will not attend the launch.

Alalshikh announced the date and venue last Thursday. In its report of that announcement, BBC Sport said the contest would be streamed globally by Netflix. The two former world champions had signed contracts earlier this year, before the location and date were settled, bringing another stage of negotiations to an end.

Cardiff emerged as the venue after London's Wembley Stadium and New York's Madison Square Garden had been leading contenders. BBC Sport reported that both alternatives presented difficulties. Joshua had wanted the contest staged in Britain, and Welsh Rugby Union and Cardiff Council officials welcomed the announcement, although some operational arrangements remained unfinished.

The precise start time has not been announced. BBC Sport previously reported that organisers were considering a late start for American audiences, while Hearn played down suggestions of a 03:00 GMT beginning. The stadium has hosted late-night boxing before: Joe Calzaghe's November 2007 bout with Mikkel Kessler began at 01:00 GMT.

The latest developments concern the fighters' arrivals and Brown's testing statement; they do not establish that every promotional disagreement has been resolved.
