Fan voting has officially opened for the prestigious 910Preps Girls Basketball Player of the Year award, featuring eighteen remarkable athletes who left indelible marks on their programs.

The voting process, which runs unlimited through Monday, April 13 at 6 a.m., celebrates the diverse talent pool that emerged from a competitive season. Among the standout narratives, Terry Sanford captured their second regional title in three seasons before falling to Northern Guilford in their quest for the program's first state championship.

Meanwhile, Seventy-First's remarkable journey took them to their first regional finals appearance in over a decade, showcasing the depth of talent across the Eastern Sandhills Conference. The Falcons' run culminated in an intense battle against Terry Sanford for the 6A East title, though they ultimately fell to the Bulldogs in a hard-fought contest.

Leading the nominee list is Freedom Christian's Allison Lett, whose statistical dominance placed her among the state's elite performers. The Towson and Howard recruit averaged an impressive 27.3 points per game, ranking eighth statewide, while adding 14.3 rebounds per contest for fifth in North Carolina. Her 3.4 blocks per game earned her 21st place in the state, and her 19 double-doubles ranked sixth statewide.

Terry Sanford emerges as a powerhouse in the voting with multiple representatives. Jaidiah Blake, the District 4 Player of the Year, showcased exceptional versatility as a junior combo guard, contributing 12.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.3 steals, and four assists per game. Her teammate Ameya Brown, a Fayetteville State commit, earned Tri-County Conference Player of the Year honors while etching her name third on the Bulldogs' all-time scoring list with averages of 13.8 points, 3.9 steals, and 3.4 assists.

Alani-Skye Wilkerson, another Terry Sanford standout, proved instrumental in the team's championship run as a newcomer. Her 14.2 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, coupled with 17 double-doubles (17th in the state), demonstrated her immediate impact on the program.

Seventy-First's representation includes several dynamic players who fueled their historic run. Northwood Temple contributed multiple candidates, including Sarah Milsap, whose breakout season earned her an American International College commitment. The Eagles forward contributed nine points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and 2.2 steals per game. Teammate La'Naija Walker, a Trinity Christian transfer, emerged as a versatile threat with 12.3 points, seven steals, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and two blocks per contest.
