Minnesota improved to 6-0 with a comeback win over Indianapolis as Seattle beat Kansas City and Atlanta handed San Francisco its first defeat.

The Minnesota Vikings became the NFL's only unbeaten team after a 16-10 home victory over the Indianapolis Colts, while the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers both lost for the first time this season. According to BBC Sport's week-seven report, Minnesota came from behind to reach 6-0 on a Sunday that ended the league's two other perfect starts.

The victory extended the Vikings' winning streak to 11 games, including the end of last season. Kevin O'Connell's team lead the NFC North, with kicker Will Reichard still yet to miss a kick this season. Minnesota's next game is away to divisional rivals Detroit. The division will enter week eight with all four teams holding winning records, as will the AFC North, a combination BBC Sport reported was a first in NFL history.

Seattle ended Kansas City's unbeaten run with a 20-3 home win, improving to 4-3 and leaving the Chiefs at 5-1. The defending Super Bowl champions held former Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker to 36 yards on 14 carries. Walker had entered the week averaging 133 rushing yards per game, the best mark in the league. Kansas City's three points matched its lowest total with Patrick Mahomes starting at quarterback.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba supplied 150 receiving yards and a touchdown for Seattle, while running back Emanuel Wilson added 100 rushing yards and a score. The meeting brought together the Chiefs' offence and Seahawks' defence, which had led the league in total yards gained and allowed respectively entering week seven. Seattle's win also came on Walker's return to face the team he left in the off-season.

San Francisco's first defeat came in Atlanta, where the Falcons won 29-20 after forcing four turnovers. Two were interceptions thrown by Brock Purdy, and the result left the 49ers at 6-1. Elsewhere in the NFC West, the Los Angeles Rams improved to 3-4 with a 35-21 victory at the Las Vegas Raiders.

Denver also moved to 5-2 with a 30-16 win over Arizona. Bo Nix ran for a 62-yard touchdown and finished with 222 passing yards and a touchdown pass. The Broncos remain behind Kansas City in the AFC West and host the Chiefs next week, giving Kansas City an immediate divisional assignment after the end of its unbeaten start.
