Chelsea parted ways with Rosenior earlier this week after a disappointing run of results that saw the club slip to 12th in the Premier League. The decision came just months after Rosenior was appointed following the departure of another manager, highlighting the instability that has plagued Stamford Bridge since Todd Boehly's takeover.

Among the leading candidates being discussed by supporters are several high-profile names. Former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has emerged as a frontrunner, with his attacking philosophy and experience developing young players appealing to Chelsea's current project. Meanwhile, Sporting CP's Ruben Amorim continues to be linked, despite having just arrived in Lisbon.

Other names in the frame include Wolverhampton manager Gary O'Neil, who has impressed despite limited resources, and Graham Potter - a favorite among some board members despite his previous Premier League struggles. There are even calls for a return of Jose Mourinho, who guided Chelsea to three Premier League titles but hasn't managed in England since 2015.

The decision carries enormous weight given Chelsea's substantial investment in playing talent. Over £1 billion has been spent on new recruits since Boehly took control, yet the squad appears disjointed and lacking clear tactical identity. Whoever takes over will need to immediately establish a coherent playing philosophy while managing egos in a bloated dressing room.

Former Blues captain John Terry expressed his concerns on social media earlier today, writing: "The club needs stability. We need someone who can command respect in that dressing room and give these incredible players a clear plan. The fans deserve better than this constant change."

Chelsea are expected to announce their preferred candidate within the fortnight, with the new manager set to take charge for the final five Premier League games of the season.
