Watch Highlights
Manchester City have agreed a deal worth up to €40m (£34m) for Palmeiras winger Allan Elias, according to reports by the Guardian and BBC Sport. The agreement has not yet been presented as a completed transfer.

Manchester City have agreed a deal worth an initial €37.5m plus €2.5m in add-ons for Palmeiras winger Allan Elias, according to reporting by the Guardian. BBC Sport also reported the agreement on Monday, valuing the potential total at about £34.2m. The reports concern an agreement for the player rather than confirmation of a completed transfer.

Allan, as the 22-year-old is commonly known, made his senior debut for Palmeiras in 2025. The Guardian reported that he has since made 96 appearances for the Brazilian club, scoring nine goals and supplying 12 assists. He has not yet played for Brazil’s senior national team.

The proposed move would add another wide attacker to Manchester City’s squad during the closing phase of the summer transfer window. The Guardian reported that Allan’s expected arrival would clear the way for fellow Brazilian winger Savinho to join Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth £75m plus a further £10m. That transaction was described as a planned sale, not a completed move.

City are also in advanced negotiations to sell midfielder Nico González to Newcastle United, according to the same report. A fee in the region of £50m is expected for the 24-year-old. Newcastle were reported to be confident of completing the signing, although no completed agreement between the clubs was announced in the source report.

The potential departures form part of a broader period of squad movement at City. The Guardian said the club’s only senior signing of the window so far has been Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116m. City were also reported to be close to a deal for Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi valued at €95m plus €5m, with the player thought to have undergone a medical on Monday.

City’s work on Allan is the clearest development among those negotiations because both the Guardian and BBC Sport reported that a deal had been agreed. The final steps required to register the winger as a City player were not detailed, and neither report described the transfer as formally completed. Until an official announcement, Allan remains a Palmeiras player and the connected deals remain at varying stages of negotiation.
